Built in 1904, the Rosenberg Library is the oldest continuously operating public library in Texas. It is located in Galveston, 4 blocks east of the Moody Mansion and within walking distance of the Historic Strand District's many shops, attractions and restaurants. The library contains a museum and the Galveston & Texas History Center, both dedicated to preserving regional history through collections of items, artwork and historic documents.
